The Riverhurst Walleye Classic is a catch and release tournament held annually on Father's Day weekend. June 14th, & 15th, 2025 will be our 35th derby. The derby begins on Friday with a supper and rules night. Fishing begins Saturday morning. Riverhurst Arena is the headquarters for the event where all results are posted after each day of fishing. Saturday evening has a Supper, Bar and Program for all who attend. The program continues Sunday evening at the end of fishing and over $25000.00 worth of cash and prizes is awarded to the Lucky recipients! The tournament has a limit of 100 two person teams with prizes for most weight caught over the two days, as well as other category prizes, such as new, team, Father-son/daughter (in laws as well), Cool under pressure, and male/female team.
All of the proceeds from the tournament go towards the upkeep, operations and improvement of the village recreation facilities.
