Step into the past and experience Christmas as it was in 1910 rural Saskatchewan! A Christmas Long Ago is an immersive holiday program where visitors are seated in Grandmother and Grandfather’s parlour, before the time of electricity, and discover the magic of the season through their eyes.
Happening Saturday, December 6 and Sunday, December 7, program times: 10:00 am & 2:00 pm both days.
During this hands-on experience, you’ll:
- See how families decorated and celebrated with simple, homemade traditions
- Explore the kinds of gifts families gave and received over a century ago
- Compare past holiday customs to today’s celebrations
- Relive festive moments that inspire nostalgic memories for the young and young at heart
